The ferocious breakfast stack

by michelle w. on July 23, 2013

If a restaurant were to name something after you, what would it be? Describe it. (Bonus points if you give us a recipe!)

The ferocious (<< that’s me) breakfast stack. This tower of deliciousness can be enjoyed at breakfast with a refreshing smoothie or hot coffee. It can be devoured at lunch time with a soda or at supper followed by desert.

Grab a toasted bagel and stack it with the following:

  • Pesto
  • Grilled chicken breast or steak (or neither for a light bite)
  • fried egg
  • slice of tomato
  • macon strips
  • grilled portobello mushroom
  • fried onion optional
  • topped with mushroom or pepper sauce.

Ingredients such as cheese, cucumber, sprouts, salmon, tofu, anything you want can be added or certain ingredients above can be subtracted. Have your stack your way. Side dishes to accompany this whopper can be sweet potato french fries or a crispy salad. It’s versatile, it’s tasty, its the go-to meal on any day.
